  1. Yep…always gotta sample the wine when you’re cooking! I have never made homemade fondue, I will have to give this a try. Sounds like a fun date night!

    We enjoyed! You’ve got to try homemade fondue sometime — great for parties, sit and hang out type or for dinner parties. I remember growing up and my parents did oil fondues from time to time. So much fun.

  6. @Gera – Thank you! I’ve been using some of your tips already!

    @Lisa – Glad I’m not the only one – what’s your favorite? I’m partial to brie 🙂

    @Peachkins – my husband’s away a lot for work also, so I understand making the most and planning!!! The almonds are super tasty. I’ve also tried truly roasting them, but the flavor steeps in best this way!

  7. Oh my goodness, now I’m starving, dying to eat this fondue. My mind is swirling as I think about how good it will be.

    Darn it if I opened your blog AFTER my trip to the market and I don’t have all the ingredients.

    I see Rachael Ray in your future. 🙂

  8. Thanks Marla! on ALL counts. Looking forward to reading more of your blog!
