Why you should NOT start carrots and onions inside

I NOW understand the reason “they” say not to start carrots and onions inside.

I didn’t before, but it makes perfect sense!

When you start cute little seeds in cute little starter pots inside, most other plants grow a lovely root bundle that holds the dirt together.

What makes up a carrot and onion? A single root. No bundle.

So when you start them, they start, but you get a single wilty long root when transplanting them.

I didn’t take any pictures… sorry!

I don’t regret it, but lesson learned.
You’re welcome!!
