Book Review: Loving Vivienne

Loving Vivienne by Christina George

loving-vivienneThe Synopsis:

What happens when you fall in love with a man you can never have?
Vivienne has it all, a successful writing career, a hit movie, a life most women dream of. The only thing missing is someone to share it with. So when a handsome, successful doctor saves her from near death, Vivienne is certain she’s finally met the man of her dreams… Until she discovers who he is… or rather who his father is. The man who single-handedly tore apart her brother’s life. Can she put the past behind her? Will she choose family over love? Or will she lose the man she feels destined to be with?

My Review:

The undertow along Costa Rican beaches is no joke as Vivienne discovered. I found this out the hard way when I lived there some 14 years ago. Fortunately, I’m here to tell the tale. Unfortunately for me, at the time, there was no sexy doctor who happened along at just the right moment to save me (although fortunately, for my life now). Although I’m a big fan of the other books in George’s Publicist series, I absolutely love that Loving Vivienne can stand alone as a fabulous story. While the background of the other books is helpful, Vivienne and Daniel are two delightfully flawed individuals — well, Daniel is pretty much perfect, as it turns out — who must navigate the challenges in a very real, very modern relationship. A quick fun read, Loving Vivienne is great for the beach–whether in Costa Rica or on fabulous sands somewhere else–or for a wonderful escape. George again proves that love and family are more important than fame or fortune… although a little money and a private jet never hurt when tropics and a sexy doctor are waiting.
